Opera: Angel or Anti-Christ

Thanks for the article from Antone Medina

I love watching Opera. While some individuals may label her as the "anti-christ" she is actually a very interesting women. Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm got the brilliant idea of developing a no texting while driving law. Opera had humble beginnings, which is why I believe so many people get along with her. It may seem strange to some but it actually makes a lot of sense that she has such a large following. However, Opera has begun to diverge from just her television show.

Opera has begun to start her own television network among other things. This will allow her to continue to spread whatever message she chooses after she ends her show next year. She is one of the richest women in the world and she continues to control everything! I watch Opera on satellite television from CannonSatellite.com. Opera also operates a school in Africa. That is actually rather interesting because of all of the individuals who need education here. Well, Opera may be discussing that on her next show, I cannot wait!

Miss Philippines - 4th Runner Up

Congrats to Miss Venus Raj. She is in the top 5 in Miss Universe.

Miss Philippines Venus Raj said during Monday's Miss Universe pageant that she had no major regrets in her life.

Raj was considered a favorite to win the Miss Universe title, but she ended up in fifth place after stumbling in the interview round of the competition on Monday (Aug. 23). More than a few people are saying her answer to the question cost her the crown, which went to Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete.

The question, from judge William Baldwin, was simple enough: What is one big mistake you've made in your life, and what did you do to make it right? Seems ripe for a nice, I'm-human-too sort of answer about having let down a friend or loved one, right?

Raj didn't go that way, though, instead saying that there had been "nothing major, major" in her life that she's regretted. "I'm very confident with my family and the love they give me, so thank you so much that I'm here," she said. Well, even though she is just in the fourth place I am still proud of her..

A Letter from 95 years old to our President..

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii
for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor , allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.
You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:
" We're no longer a Christian nation"
" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even
announced to the world," America is mean-
spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching
that nonsense to 23 generations of our
war dead buried all over the globe who
died for no other reason than to free a
whole lot of strangers from tyranny and
hopelessness.)
I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue . You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.
You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.
And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle...

Sincerely,
Harold B. Estes
(Got this from email and thought I share it here)

Cabin maintenance

Guest post written by Chris Johnson

Having a secluded cabin out in the woods – well, in the suburbs away from developments – definitely has its advantages. I love how quiet it is out here and I don’t have to worry about neighbors’ dogs messing in my yard. But then there’s the wildlife and deer that sometimes eat my flowers and the damage that all the surrounding trees and vegetation do to my house.

There had been a few close calls during thunderstorms. A tree that’s about 50 feet behind my house was even struck by lightning. But then a few weeks ago there was an exceptionally violent thunderstorm that caused some branches to fall on my roof and fly into one of my bedroom windows. Luckily, it was a small window and I was in my living room at the time so I didn’t get hurt. But my bedroom was wet and that window was broken.

Right after it happened I taped a tarp over it and called Sears Home Improvement Charlotte, who came out to my cabin and replaced the window soon after that. The service people did a great job and were careful with the cabin’s structure.

I hope I won’t have to deal with as many severe storms once the weather cools down, but I’m considering clearing some tree from around my house just in case.

Anyway, I want to cut it and maybe have it layered. I always want my hair layered.

They are going to do it in the morning but if they will get home early I guess I need to ask hubby if we can go. I just want to go to the beach again and have fun. The kids just love to play outside specially in the water.

Summer time is almost over so while it's still here we need to go outside and have fun in the sun!!

I need to apply for a car insurance

Now that I have a driver's license hubby needs to add me to his car insurance real soon. We were talking about it the other day and I need to remind him about it. We have been using Nationwide Insurance and so far they are awesome! If you would like to apply for a car insurance I would go to Nationwide Insurance. You can also check out car insurance reviews and see what other company has to offer but I would prefer Nationwide Insurance.

One thing I hate about housejob is the washing clothes, folding it and Ironing. Yeah I hate it and I always don't finish my housework (the laundry..lol...) Hubby saw that I have lots of clothes that needs to iron so he iron the clothes. How sweet. He helped me. I don't know why but hate ironing clothes. Got full basket that needs to be folded but I always tell my selt to do it later and now I got two full baskets lol.

Well, I'll do it later again lol maybe hubby will help me fold it when he get home later. I love it when hubby help me doing my housework.
