Merry Christmas!

I got up this morning and made breakfast for my family then we get dressed and went to Church.  We only had one service today at church then we ate a delicious lunch. It was really good. Mom made roast, mash potatoes, green peas, green beans, corn and I love her gravy.. I enjoyed my lunch... Then, we got home taking off the Christmas tree LOL.. Yup Christmas evening we took off our Christmas tree so we will be done.. Tomorrow I am going to clean our house 'cause the house is so messy there are lots of new toys scattered everywhere lol..

It's now almost 11pm and my Jolaine is sleeping already and thought that I am going to work online for a lil bit. I didn't eat supper 'cause I am too full from my lunch.. By the way, We opened gifts Christmas Eve and friday night.. Well, I had a good time today as well as my family.. Hope you all have a wonderful time!

I am a short person and I always used a step stool if I want to get something from our kitchen cabinets that I cannot reach. My husband is a tall person and he doesn't use a step stool and I told him how lucky he is because he is a pretty tall guy.

Time is gold..

I woke up so early this morning and decided to work online. I have lots of things to do today plus my work and I don't want to be lazy anymore lol.. It's gonna be a good day today and it is not gonna be cold. I need to study history so I can apply for a citizenship I have been telling myself to do it but I didn't do it. Thanksgiving

My husband and I are planning a trip to Europe for our anniversary next April, and to say that I cannot wait would be the understatement of the century. It’s so easy to get bogged down in the day to day minutiae, and the opportunity to get away for a week and be able to enjoy our time is going to be just what we need. Unfortunately, being away from our house for a week brings with it the concerns that our home is unprotected. The good news is, my husband and I have home security family, and so we can rest assured that our home is in good hands while we’re away. I do not need to be concerned with the threat of burglary or fire while I’m trying to enjoy my time in Europe; I know that if there is an emergency the proper authorities will be notified immediately. Peace of mind is imperative for me to enjoy my time drinking my way through Italy, right? The trip is only a few short months away, and I get more and more excited every day.

Need to get a new heater

Our heater is not working properly and the cold weather is here already. My husband is going to fix it or he will buy a new heater. Moving Hassle

Moving is such a pain in the butt, but you don’t really remember that until you pack up the car and start the process all over again. When I decided to go out west to California I was really excited, that is, until the movers came to my house and started packing everything up. I thought I had handled it all before: the utilities, the directv, the termite guy, but when I got out there I realized I hadn’t called to change my address, my car wasn’t registered in Cali and my health insurance didn’t transfer over. It was a lot to do all at once! My mom was great and flew out to help me because I was so overwhelmed, what with the new job and all. The only problem was that she brought her dog Scrappy and he and I got so attached I told her to leave him here when she left so now I’ve got a new dog on top of all the other stress I’m dealing with!

I am so happy that I found my long time friend in fb. I have been looking for this person in a long time. Fb is really great! You can connect your old friends, classmates, and meet new friends. I can't publish post on blogger

Since we had a new computer I couldn't publish post on blogger. What I did was I save as draft on my computer then I go to my ipod and published my post there it's really crazy so now I couldn't handle it anymore I asked my husband to help me with my problem I thought the javascript is disabled but couldn't find it in the browser settings. So hubby went to blogger and click the "try the new blogger interface" so I clicked it and I tried to publish my post and it works. I am so glad! Now, I can blog everyday. Thank goodness.

I love the summers not only because the weather is mostly nice, but also because that's the time when I get to spend a whole lot of time with my grandkids. They come and visit me for months at a time then and I spend a lot of time planning exactly what we're going to do while they're here. Well, this summer I knew that they wanted to go whale watching so I planned that for us to do.

You look skinny..

My friend Lisa said that I looked so thin now. She wants me to gain weight a little lol. Well, I like being thin I don't want to be chubby. I am more energetic now than before.. So, I am going to stay skinny. I like it better this way :)

Anyway, I lost weight fast if I want too and it's really easy to do it. Some people are trying so hard to lose weight and they even take fat burners. If you want to lose weight you need to be careful of what you are eating. That's the number one thing you are going to do lol.

Well anyway, I am happy now that I can wear my old jeans and old clothes...

Tomatoes

I throw tomatoe seeds at the flower bed at the back of our house and it's growing. This afternoon when I went outside it looked like it was dying. Well, it was so hot today outside and so I turned on the sprinkler. They just need water. I am so glad my plants looks better. My orchids looks better as well, I thought it was going to die and I am glad it stays alive after I transfer it in a large pot. Joel love plants and flowers and so do I..

I have so many maternity clothes over here. I gave some away to my friends that are pregnant but I still got some here so I think I am going to give it away to goodwill. My closet are full of clothes and I really need to clean it next week.

My husband uses his laptop most of the time. He draw cabinets on his laptop and he takes it everywhere he go even at the hospital lol. He even have an extra battery on his laptop to make sure he can work on it.

I have this friend that I want to meet. She live in Downtown and she went to Woodlands this evening. She invited me to hang out with her or watch a movie but I couldn't go because it's too late at night. I really want to meet her but I'll pass this time. I don't mind going if it's close to my house but woodlands is 20 minutes away I don't really want to drive there especially at night. I don't mind if I have a body guard me wink. My husband and I got married on July 2004 and next month is our 7th wedding anniversary. ! Time is so fast! We are planning to go somewhere if Joel is in good health. Well, I don't really know what we're going to do yet it depends on his condition. Joel hasn't been doing good lately. If we go somewhere we might get an emergency roadside assistance for sure just in case. And I am hoping that he will be in good condition so we can do something fun..Can't wait for that day to come.

I talked to my Mother and my sister last night. I am so glad I had my yahoo messenger on or else I am going to miss them again. Anyway, It was noisy at their area I didn't really understand what she was saying so I told her to just chat instead of talking.

They were doing fine. I am glad to know that my sister got two coursed instead of one I thought she graduated HRM but she graduated for Computer HS. She was a schoolar and she wasn't done on her HRM course yet. She still has one more year to go. Wow I thought she was really done schooling..

I am proud of her I know school is tiring but it's good for her and her future..

Do you take vitamins everyday?

It is important to take multivitamins everyday so you will be healthy. Our food we eat is not as healthy as it should be. Kids especially, they needs vitamins everyday to help them grow.

Anyway, I am so glad my husband takes multivitamins everyday and I need to do that myself. I am forgetful sometimes I forget to take vitamins I really do need to take one everyday and so do you!

My teen life...

I once worked in Appliances somewhere in Manila City, we sell different kinds of appliances. I love that job because it was so easy and it was fun. I have lots of friends but most of them were boys..Boys are fun to be with they respect me as me...I have girlfriends but it's only few of them so anyway, one day I saw this cute guy starring at me. And when I looked at him I felt the magic inside of me it was love at first sight. He was my crush then..Well, few days later he came back at our store waiting outside. After my work he asked me if he could take me home and of course he introduced his name first..I was happy..

I went to Salon yesterday to have a haircut. I want it layered but I think my hair is not good for that. My hair is so thick and curly and if I do that my hair would look so bad. So I just asked the lady to cut just a little I mean just the splits end.. She cut maybe 2inches of my hair. I like it this way and I am happy with it..

Have faith in God

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn’t afraid be...cause it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God’s protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her.

When the policeman asked him, he answered, “Because she wasn’t alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her.” Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you’re never alone. I love my camera

Cleaning

Book club New Year's resolution

Joining a book club is something that I've been thinking about for a really long time by now, so i thought that I should just go ahead and do it instead of putting it off. I mean, there's no use in putting something off for so long in the hopes of getting around to it. You might as well just take it on because you'll figure out time to make for it if it's really important to you.

First off, I love to read and then I remember when my mom would invite her book club members over to the house when I was a little girl. They all seemed to have so much fun at their meetings! I went online with my 4GInternet to try and find a club that I could join up. Well, I found all kinds of ones in my area, but the trouble was figuring out which kind of book genre I wanted to read.

I still haven't found a book club, but I'm determined to follow through my reading New Year's resolution and pick one out before January is over with.

While I love my son dearly, we are very different in a lot of ways. Our personalities are very different and most of our hobbies and interests don't align. We've always had family activities to do together, but it's interesting how we're so different from each other. Sometimes it's hard to find activities to do when he comes to visit. Luckily, my son and I have always had sports in common. It's always been something that has allowed us to bond over the years. My son and I do have one big thing in common, we are both proud Seminoles. We both attended FSU and we love all sporting events involving our alma mater. Lately we've been watching FSU football and basketball together, and I've really enjoyed the quality time with my son.

FSU just ended their football season on a positive note, and it's going to be time for us to focus on basketball. I have new glasses and Miracle Ear hearing aids and I am already more basketball. My son's favorite sport is basketball, so it's going to be great to have a good number of games to look forward to together. Go Seminoles!

Making Dessert

I made one big bowl of fruit salad yesterday. I don't want to eat it all so I gave some to my friends. I am sure they are going to like it. I was just in the mode of making some kind of dessert.

Hubby and His Adventure

My husband finally got the word, he was the proud owner of two tickets to the Orange Bowl. I have never seen him so excited, jumping around like I have never seen him. A college buddy and his wife were driving into Florida to take us with them on this once in a lifetime adventure. I was not sure this was something I was going enjoy, but he convinced me that the excitement of being there in person was worth leaving for the day. When Bill and Jean arrived, my husband was more than ready, down to the pompoms. I was really ready for him to paint his face and get even more carried away, but he managed to control his excitement. Thank heavens we live in Florida. He assured me that even though I wasn't the biggest football fan, the half time at the Orange Bowl was something I wouldn't want to miss. Jean and I both agreed, we would have a good time and try to keep the guys from making complete fools of themselves. Almost running to the car, it was up to me to make sure the security alarm (CLICK HERE) was set before we left. We were heading out, so let the game begin.

Daisy's Baby

Friday night my friend delivered her baby at Tomball Regional Center. Joel and I were planning to visit her yesterday but no one can babysit our kids. The hospital don't allow kids under 5 years old. Lisa wanted to visit her as well and so we decided to go together so she went to our house this afternoon and then go to the hospital. Hubby watch the kids and I am glad he did.

First, we ate at Filipiniana restaurant. I ruined my diet again hehehe. The foods are so yummy. Anyway, after lunch we went straight to the hospital which we don't really know how to go there and I am so glad we finally found it. The baby is so cute. Babies are amazing! They are sent from Heaven, I have no doubt about it.

On the way home we stopped by at Starbucks and met one of our friend andoy. We had fun out there I can't wait to go out again. I really had fun spending time with Lisa. She is one of my true friend and fun to be with.

Good old-fashioned mittens

I miss the days when I was kid and that it was really easy to keep up with your mittens because they were attached on a string. It was nice to be able to find a complete pair of mittens when you needed it for recess or whatever. I kind of wish that people still kept their gloves and mittens on a string together, but I guess that looks a little silly if you're an adult. Normally I just keep a glove in each pocket of my coat, but that doesn't always work.

When I was frantically searching for one of my gloves before work the other day, I started thinking about my childhood mittens and decided that I wanted some again.
