Long weekend
Joel is not working today. We are just enjoying our day watching movies and playing with kids. He was thinking a while ago to go somewhere but I told him not. I just want to stay home and spend time with the family rather than going somewhere. Well, hope everyone will have a happy new year and more blessings! Enjoy the holiday..

A Cheater At The Knicks Game
Guest post of the week by Val Flores
I recently had an interesting experience. My dad told me he had two tickets to the Knicks game. But not only did he have two tickets to the Knicks game, these tickets were in the first row. Yes, the first row where Chris Rock and Madonna sometimes sit. I was going to be sitting in those seats! The only catch was that there were two tickets and I was ordered to go with Christopher, who is a man that works for my dad. My dad refers to him as a second son, but I see right through him. This guy just wants to take over the company - he's a creep who can't be trusted. The plan was that I would meet Christopher at the game. Like any other time I leave the house, I set my home security alarm (home security Miami offers), walked into the garage, and drove my old Toyota toward my destination. Only this day would be much different.
I arrived at the game and saw Christopher. We talked for a while and seemed to be enjoying the game, but at halftime he suddenly said he had to leave. What? You don't get these kinds of tickets every day, buddy? Where could he possibly be going? I later found out he went to cheat on his wife. Told you he was a creep. I tried to enjoy the rest of the game, but it was a little weird sitting alone in camera territory behind the visitor's bench.

Keep Santa's Cookies Safe
Posted by Gaylord Campbell
The holidays are here and we need to make sure that we keep our loves ones safe. Unfortunately, there is a lot of crime around this time of here. There are many predators around that would love to take are precious gifts. We need to protect them to keep unwanted theft away.
When shopping in a mall put all of your bags inside of one bag. By keeping the bags all together you can make sure that all of your items are accounted for. This way if you stop, at lets say the food area, and you put your things down to grab a bite to eat you will not have to worry about grabbing multiple bags when you are ready to get up.
Another holiday safety tip is to keep an old blanket in your car at all times. The purpose of this is that it can protect your gifts while they are in your car. When you place your shopping bags in your trunk or car just place the blanket over the top of them to act as a camouflage. If you must leave gifts in your car, place them on the floor tucked away with a blanket over them.
Lastly, you need to protect your home and of course Santa Claus's cookies. The best protection is to set your home alarm with ADT Security System cellguard for safety. This will allow you to provide safety for not only your family but your wonderful holiday gifts.

A Fun Christmas Surprise!
Guest post written by Wanda Little
My husband Rich and I are eagerly anticipating this holiday season. Every year, our family gets together at a pre-determined location, and we all have a great time. We have the opportunity to see our brothers, sisters, cousins and of course our lovely children and our little grandkids. We greatly look forward to the gathering ever year. This year, however, we are doing something in addition to our wonderful visit. We have tickets to see the Christmas Spectacular in New York City, and we are going to take a few days to take in all the decorations and Christmas displays in the big apple. Ever since we retired, we've been able to take little extra trips like this throughout all different times of the year.
We are eagerly anticipating our trip to New York. We are going to have of Christmas related things to talk about by the time our family dinner comes around. We are really looking forward to the Christmas Spectacular and we even went to several Miracle Ear Locations to purchase new hearing aids for Rich and me. Our additional trip is really going to help make this holiday season extra special for us!

My favorite nuts
I love peacan and walnuts! They are my favorite nuts. I wish we have peacan tree and a walnut tree at our backyard. One of my friend here has peacan tree and a walnut tree and I love it. We go to their house sometimes and pick some nuts at the back of their house. Joel and I really love those kind of nuts.

Enjoying the season while I can
Guest post written by Megan Woodward
It's just my luck that as soon as it's that wonderful time of the year, my work just got way more time consuming. Which, we did just acquire a new client so it only makes sense. It's just that it's a little sad because this is my absolute favorite time of the year and I spend a whole lot of time enjoying it with seasonal crafts and recipes.
To help relieve some of my recently increased stress from work, I went online to try and find a recipe for some new Christmas cookies that I could make for fun and to pass around the office. While I was doing that I came across some info about wireless internet companies and actually changed over my home internet service because I looked at it.
I'm just relieved that I went ahead and put up all of my seasonal decorations before Thanksgiving because now I don't know if I would have the energy to put all of them up. It's nice to come home all stressed out and mellow out a little in front of my Christmas tree.

Taking care of my jewelry business
Guest post written by Rose Mitchell
I started a little jewelry business on the side about a year ago and it's really taken off! I think that it's so great and even though I intended to do it for fun, it's started to help supplement my income more than I expected. But now that my business has increased, I'm having to rethink how I store all of my stuff.
I went online with my Wireless Internet in order to find some ways to store my stuff but still be able to see what I have. I found lots of different solutions, but a lot of them took up so much space, space that I don't have in my apartment.
Then I found this one that I thought would be great for what I was looking for. I needed a DIY jewelry organizer like that because it also served as a display, so in case some of my friends came over and wanted to pick out something for themselves, they'd have it all laid out in front of them!

Wedding dresses
My friend Alex is a model. Today they had a photoshoot somewhere in Sugarland. All models wear bridal gowns and look at her she looks awesome. The wedding dress looks really good on her. Alex is really cute and pretty and I am so glad the wedding dress fits on her. The wedding dress is from my friend Daisy. My wedding dress is a little bit conservative so she didn't barrow mine lol.

Sometimes you got to get what you can
Posted by Haywood Morales
I have never been a big believer in the idea of getting a live Christmas tree. It just seemed to me a waste of part of nature. This is not to mention the fact that you have to spend more to get this kind of tree, and you have to somehow clean up after it is gone. I prefer to get an artificial tree, but I do something that is a little bit different. I still go out to buy a new artifical tree each year.
Most people would just use the same tree time and again, but I wanted to preserve the Christmas tradition of getting a tree even if I wasn't going to be getting a live one. That is why I go out to the nearest retailer each year. I will admit that it is not nearly as special as the idea of getting one from someone who actually sells the real thing, but it works for me. I figure this way I have more money to spend on something for my wife.
I go to get the tree by myself so that I can do some other Christmas shopping while I am there. I always make sure to set the home security alarm from www.TotalAlarmSystems.com as I walk out the door and head to the store. From there, I am keeping my Christmas traditions alive in my own way.

What a cold morning!
Yeah it is so cold here this morning. I woke up my son a while ago and he is cold but he got to go to school. It is so cold outside. I am so glad I bought him winter hats and gloves. He like it. I need to go shopping sometimes this week.
Anyway, I am here in our bed room with a big coat on while working online. I love listening to the love songs and Christmas songs at Yahoo. The kids are still sleeping! So relaxing...

Carpet Cleaner
I have been asking my husband about hiring somebody to clean our carpet. Having three kids is a lot of work. Our carpet is really dirty. You know sometimes kids spills juice, tea, sodas and foods on the carpet and it sure be nice to have a clean carpet again.
I am thinking about hiring carpet cleaning in austin ,tx but they are a little bit far away we live in Houston so I guess I will just search online close by. If you guys have the same problem with me just contact the Steam Team if you live close to Austin or in Dallas Texas. They are number one choice of carpet cleaners austin texas and Dallas.
I just got done reading professional carpet cleaning tips at the Steam Team website. It is really helpful!

The Best Indiana Jones Movie
Posted by Arden Wallace
What is your favorite Indiana Jones movie? Why? I'll say it right away; I'm very opinionated. That being the case, this is really a rhetorical question. I already know the answer to the question above. You might think I'm going to say the original, which is Raiders of the Lost Ark. Now, I will say, this was a very cool movie. The ending was phenomenal, and despite this not being a horror movie, that was one of the creepiest scenes I have ever witnessed. If you're going to try to say The Temple of Doom, then you're either 8 years old or you haven't seen The Temple of Doom since you were 8 years old. The whole concept of a man pulling people's hearts out is pretty insane. The secret underground child labor camp was another interesting angle. But this movie falls short in the believability department. It was sold well, but not well enough. If you're going to say the latest Indiana Jones movie, you need to see a shrink. I had to shut it off after 30 minutes. I feel they destroyed the whole series with that movie. So, that leaves The Last Crusade, which was believable, action-packed, and fun. This movie comes on satellite tv from ExpertSatellite.com every once in a while. Whenever it does, I'm sure to watch it. You should consider doing the same.

Thanksgiving at the Cabin
Content by Faustino Fuentes
This year, Tina and I are spending Thanksgiving at her aunt and uncle's cabin in the mountains outside of Yuma, Arizona. I'm pretty excited because will be the first Thanksgiving that I've spent outside of Denver.
Tina has been telling me about the cabin since we first met and I can't wait to get up there. But from what she's told me, it hardly seems fair to call the place a "cabin." I mean, it's a five bedroom, three bathroom house with every amenity you can imagine.
I guess her uncle isn't just a successful lawyer; he's also something of gourmet chef. According to Tina's description, he cooks up a pretty amazing Thanksgiving dinner.
He's one of these guys who cooks a traditional turkey in the oven, and then does the deep fried turkey in a fryer in the backyard. I'm really looking forward to trying that one. After all, I'll eat anything that's deep fried.
One thing I'm thankful for is that Tina's family members are all big football fans. After dinner, they serve up pie in the family room and watch the Cowboys on my Direct TV DVR. And after desert, they all head outside and play touch football in the meadow behind the cabin.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know her extended family and I can't think of better time than Thanksgiving to get started.
