Thanks for the guest post by Bill Hardin
I can't believe that we're already in the middle of November. So far I haven't even thought about Thanksgiving preparations, let alone Christmas. Still, with the economy being what it is and money being tight, I definitely have to make sure to go shopping on "Black" Friday.
I actually didn't even know about "Black" Friday until my roommate mentioned it to me. Last year was actually my first time. My roommate apparently has been camping out in front of the electronics store for years now. I requested to take a personal day off from work and camped out with my roommates in front of the local electronics store to pick up the latest computer gadgets. Most of my friends are techies and if I play my cards right, I can almost always get all my shopping done at one place. Almost didn't happen last year since we got started camping a little late and their was already a huge line in front of us. Since we'll probably be out all night and for most of the next day, I'll probably be setting the home security alarm from www.besthomesecurity.com/adt-home-security-monitoring.html again just in case.
This year I'm thinking about getting a laptop for my brother and some video games for my cousins. I'm still not sure what kind of gadgets I'll get for each of my friends, but I'm sure I'll find something.

Wisdom tooth
I have a wisdom tooth growing again and it's hurting me so bad. It looks like it's infected and it's hurting my head too so tomorrow I am going to call the dentist. Last March this year I pulled the other wisdom tooth and it cost me 900 dollar. It's expensive. It is gonna cost me 900 bucks again to pull this one.

Cyber Monday!
I can't wait on Cyber Monday! I am going to shop online! Cyber Monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving Day. Hubby and I are planning to shop for electronics on Black Friday and I am going to wait on Monday to shop for clothes and Christmas gifts online. I know there are lots of sale because that's what I did last year. It's gonna be busy at the store on Friday and I know I can't shop all day because I have a baby so I will rather shop online.

Bring on the Chill!
Guest post written by Christine Duncan
One of the things I love most about living in the mid-Atlantic is the dramatic change in seasons. You don't like the weather? Wait a few weeks. When winter comes crashing in, I find myself scrambling to get my old house ready for the chilly weather. Here's my checklist:
1. Furnace - Get the furnace checked out before winter hits. Good maintenance on your furnace is quick and easy.
2. Windows - Check to make sure your windows are locked tight to avoid those drafty cracks from "almost" closed windows.
3. Air conditioners - Not having central air, I take the time to remove the small air conditioners and cover up the larger one. The cold air that comes through those vents can really make a difference in your home's comfort.
4. Outdoor water - The one I nearly forget every year is turning off the outdoor faucet from inside. That tiny drip could have disastrous consequences when the freeze sets in.
5. Supplies - Stock up on snow shovels and salt some time around October and you won't be scrambling when the first flakes hit.
Once I'm done, I sit back with some cocoa, watch the snow fall, and turn on the Cable TV Channel Lineup - it's going to be a long winter but at least I'm warm.

Winter wonderlands should involve bikinies and sun warmed beaches
Thanks for the guest post by Eugene Fulton
I've lived in New England my whole life, so excuse my contempt for the hideous form of precipitation also know as snow. It is pretty; up to the point when I have to drive in or shovel the stuff. Winter is not something you can just blow off up here. Roofs tend to have a steep pitch to them, you still want a roof rake to help remove it.
It isn't just the snow and ice that is a concern. Heating oil is my major winter expense, so putting plastic on the windows is just practical. Same thing with the commercial draft guards, though a rolled up towel works just as well. They might look bad, but I'll take goofy and warm over stylish and drafty.
After the past few winters, I went and got a wood stove installed. There is something comforting about a nice fire on a cold winter night. I also enjoy the piece of mind that being able to have heat that is not dependent on electric power. Same reason I keep a generator in the shed. Every few years we get an ice storm that knocks power out for days. Actually, I'm heading out to turn over the generator then I'm gonna be sitting down in front of my nice big satellite TV from tvbydirect.com. Bring on the cold and snow!

Stories within a novel
Guest post written by Rick Black
I've read a lot of books by the author who wrote Fight Club, Chuck Palhanuik, but there was one that I had been putting off for a while because all of the reviews of it that I've read said that it is one of his worst ones. But when it comes to books, I'm more faithful to my favorite authors than some random critics that I've never met in my life. So I decided to go ahead and give the book Haunted a try anyway.
I read a couple of the reviews over again and ordered it off Amazon anyway. While I was doing that I came across teh web site http://www.clearwirelessinternet.com and decided to change over my internet access to it because I'd had a couple of bad run ins with my old internet company.
Well the Haunted book is about a bunch fo writers that are taking a retreat together and it has a lot of their short stories and poem mixed in with the novel, which has made for some interesting reading.

Diuretic foods
From now on I am going to try to eat foods that has natural diuretic. I love watermelon and cucumber and that's the good thing. I don't like asparagus though. I love cooking soup with ginger on it. I love tomatoes, cabbage, carrots and oats. They are diuretics. If you want to lose weight, you need to eat right amount of fruits and veggies that are natural diuretics but it is best if you do the right diet, and do your exercise.
Diuretics are commonly used to treat hypertension and heart problems that is related to high blood pressure.
We all need natural diuretic foods to flush out the toxins out of the body.
For more information about natural diuretics check out naturaldiuretic.org

San Jose Has Best Head Coach
Guest post from: Denver Stephens
Hockey is a true man's sport. The fighting is not as common as it once was but the modern game of hockey is still a very physical game. I watch Hockey in High Definition on fox and each winter you will find me on my couch cheering on the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks have been my favorite team ever since I got to live in San Jose for a year.
Todd McLellan is one of the best coaches in the NHL and the Sharks play much better than they would if McLellan was not their coach. Last year the San Jose Sharks finished first in the Western Conference and we can directly attribute that to all of the hard work the McLellan put in during the season.
McLellan is a young coach but his win loss record is simply amazing. McLellan will go down as one of the best coaches in NHL history. McLellan might eventually even be named the best NHL coach in history. Yes, McLellan is that good of a head coach.

Catching up on Weeds
Thanks for the guest post by Ron Faulkner
One of my friends moved away recently and no longer has cable. When she comes to hang out at my house with me, she and I catch up on our favorite TV show, Weeds, by watching it On Demand. We're a little bit obsessed with the show - we've both watched seasons 1 through 5 twice and we're super impatient waiting for the new seasons to start up.
This season has been particularly great to watch because my husband and I purchased an HD home theater projector. That, combined with the crisp picture we normally get with our satellite TV from www.cabletelevision.net, makes for nearly perfect viewing of this show. It makes us even more jealous of Mary Louise Parker's hair, because of the great quality of the picture.
Unfortunately, since my friend moved about an hour away, we only get to watch the show on a monthly basis; while this is good because we usually have 3 or 4 episodes to catch up on, this also means that I can't watch any during the week. Luckily, there's lots of other things On Demand as well!

Love at the County Fair
Guest post written by Patrick Hull
I met my current boyfriend at the Portage County Fair in Wausau. It was love at first site, well more like love at first country song. We both went with a group of our friends to see Eric Church perform on the last day of the event. I knew I was kind of being set up by my friends so I tried to look my best. After making sure I looked great but not that I was trying too hard, I turned off my directtv hd dvr and drove down to the fairgrounds.
We didn't talk too much at first and I was wondering if he was a country fan or if he was just there because his friends dragged him there. The first Eric Church song was 'Two Pink Lines'. It happens to be my absolute favorite Eric Church song so I belted out every word and line danced with the rest of the crazy fans. None of my friends are quite as extreme as I was so I ended up dancing with a bunch of complete strangers. One of these strangers getting down country style was the guy my friends were trying to set me up with. We had that in common at least. Later that evening we found out we both liked sweet tea and deep fried pickles. I think I found true love at the country fair.

Back to the OBX
Guest post written by Julie Anderson
No matter how old I get, I will always love the beach. Nothing gives me more peace and tranquility. Last week, even though it is getting a bit colder, my husband Seth and I got the opportunity to go back out to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Last week we were both looking for hearing aids at http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com when we noticed a local advertisement for a hotel in the Outer Banks and like that, our trip was off the grounds! We love camping over just staying in a motel, and we decided we would bring the tent, the sleeping backs, and camp out at the beach.
After four hour or so of driving, we arrived there and set up camp. Seth brought our favorite kites, and we took full advantage of the gusty beach front. We must have flown our two old kites for several hours! Afterwards we took a long walk on the beach together. We witnessed fishermen and a few other couples trying to get in their final beach trips for the season. There’s nothing like being by the water, and I’m really glad that Seth and I made time for it again.

Summer Camping
Author: Abraham Dale
During the summer, my family likes to go camping. We usually boat over to an island, called Masonboro. This is a popular place for many families and campers. It is only accessible by boat and is a beautiful place to camp.
Once we get to Masonboro Island, we set up our tent, play in the water, sand and sun. This is great family time. There is no technology accessible, so all attention is on one another.
Then as it gets darker, we build a fire and cook our dinner over that. We do carry some sandwiches with us, but we fish also. The sandwiches are really our back-up food, just in case we don't catch any fish.
At bedtime, we all lay in our sleeping bag, inside the tent, telling stories until we all fall asleep.
Then in the morning, we get up and cook breakfast. Then it is another day of sun and fun. A lot of times we will go for a boat ride again during the daylight hours.
Unfortunately, the weekend seems to fly by. On Sunday morning, we pack up and boat back to dry land. Heading home, I think about how safe my house was all weekend because we set our home security alarm from www.Totalalarmsystems.com/ before leaving to embark on our camping trip.

Medical Insurance
My husband is been sick since March this year and he already had five surgeries. He had been to the emergency room three times. We are so thankful for the Medical insurance we have. If we don't have health insurance I don't know how we are going to pay for all of the hospital bills. It's very difficult if you don't have insurance. We can't afford not to have health insurance. The hospital cost is just so expensive!
My husband just had a surgery yesterday from his urethtra and they are planning to do another surgery again and we are hoping that they are going to do the surgery at the end of this year I hope.
Anyway, If you don't have medical insurance you better apply today because if you get sick the hospital bills are so high especially if they are going to do surgery on you. You can apply at www.healthcareinsurance.me if you don't have health insurance yet.

Spending the night with us
Mom and Dad are here with us this evening to watch my husband. Joel just had a surgery this afternoon and we are afraid if he needs to go back to the hospital or not so Mom and Dad are here so it will be easier for us if Joel needs to go.
He is not feeling so good right now and he is hurting so bad. Hope and pray that he will be okay soon. I am worried at him.
